Summer work experience at Bike Manufacturer Brompton

careerswkc

The Brompton Work Experience Program is creative, interactive, engaging, stimulating, challenging but most of all it is FUN! The foundation of every learning experience.

Students will get a hands-on experience working as a team on three different projects that will provide them with a realistic experience within the Brompton world and the BIG moment to present their projects to a panel of ‘judges’ and win a prize.

The three different projects centred around: Finance & Business Development, Design & Manufacturing Engineering and the appeal to Today’s Youth Project – Brompton & Brompton Bike Hire (inc. Marketing/social media)

This will also include the ultimate experience of a factory tour, a Brompton bike ride, learning how to build a Brompton plus hands-on experience, brazing within our health and safety parameters but also workshop activities within other areas of the business: Digital & IT, R&D Centre, Tooling & Equipment and potentially a Creativity Workshop with our Marketing & Videography Team.

Eligibility Criteria
  • The programme is open to students between the ages of 16 to 19 years old (Year 10 to 13).

  • Available during program dates - July.

How to Apply

To apply for the program, students must complete the work experience application form (page 2) which requires students to attach a CV and covering letter.

Spaces are unfortunately limited (12 to 15 spaces, this could change year to year), and all students’ applications will be screened against our shortlisting criteria.

Students that are successful will be sent a confirmation email (latest end of May) and students who are unfortunately unsuccessful will be extended the opportunity to apply for the following years’ programme.
