Register for a Young Writer competition at Goldsmiths, University of London. The competition is for young people aged 16-18 and it aims to uncover the next generation of writing talent.
You can enter either or both of the following competitions:
Young Writer: a thousand-word short story competition with support from the English and Creative Writing Department
Young Anthropologist: a thousand-word essay competition with support from the Anthropology Department.
Prize: Both competitions have a £1,000 first prize and two runner-up prizes of £50. All shortlisted entries will also receive a small prize.
If you register, you'll be invited to online workshops throughout the year delivered by the English and Creative Writing and/or Anthropology departments to help you hone your writing skills and learn from the university’s academic staff. You’ll also receive information about upcoming Goldsmiths events, resources, recommendations and opportunities that will help your entry be the best it can be before submission.
