Walters & Cohen is an architectural practice based in Kentish Town, London.
We are known for award-winning buildings including schools, galleries, houses and a Buddhist retreat centre. Take a look at our website and see which are your favourites.
We are offering work experience for up to 20 students in Years 11-13 from Monday 29 July - Friday 02 August, 10am-5pm.
What to expect
Monday
Visit our office, meet each other and your mentors.
We’ll explain your project and tell you a bit about us before heading to King’s Cross and St Pancras for an architectural walking tour.
Tuesday - Thursday
Working from home, you’ll choose a fun design project to work on, learn basic drawing skills and what it means to be an architect.
A typical day will be:
10am - 12pm: chat with your architect mentor (4 students to each architect) on Teams; design time
12pm - 1pm: a lecture
1pm - 2pm: lunch break
2pm-5pm: design time
Friday
We’d love you to come here and present your design for 3-5 minutes - that may sound scary, but everyone is friendly and some students have even said it was their favourite part of the week!
If you like the sound of that, email Marie at
mail@waltersandcohen.com for an application form.
The deadline for entries is 5pm on Friday 10 May.
