At Westminster Kingsway College, we offer an impartial careers advice and guidance service via drop-ins, booked appointments, telephone and email. Our dedicated, friendly and helpful team offer comprehensive and up-to-date careers information.
We have a yearly plan of careers and employability activities so that you can get the most from your time at WestKing. The services and activities are planned to meet the Gatsby Benchmarks of good careers guidance and we also take your feedback on services to continuously improve our service to you.

Each year we run Higher Education fairs at our King’s Cross Centre and Victoria Centre, as well as other events throughout the year supported by employers, universities, and other organisations.
We advise teaching staff on developing careers education and planning activities in their courses to help enhance employability and confidence with career planning. We also actively source and advertise mentoring schemes to support disadvantaged students seeking progression into employment, training or education.

The College has developed a clear vision for Careers and Employability education that focuses on providing learners with high quality opportunities linked to broadening horizons, meeting the needs of employers and the aspirations of learners.
We work with partners in Higher Education, employers in industry and other organisations to give students a wide range of meaningful experiences

Partnerships
Our Employability team have nurtured and developed strong links with employers, and working closely with initiatives such as Goldman Sachs and Dar Group. These enable us to offer internal and external employer led activities including employability skills, CV workshops, mentoring and career insight talks.
We also have partnerships with the University of the Arts (UAL), University of Leicester, Middlesex University, Coventry London and Staffordshire London University as well as excellent links with a broad range of other universities.

We are accredited by the Matrix quality standard for information, advice and guidance services.
All our careers and employability advisers are trained and qualified to Level 6 in providing careers guidance and have the Qualification in Careers Guidance (QCG) conferred by the Career Development Institute (CDI).
