Camden STEAM is delighted to offer over 400 work experience placements for students in year 12 who are studying at a Camden school or college.


All placements are in-person and located at an exciting business or organisation.

How to apply - Students


  • Click the relevant link to the STEAM Work Experience that you would like to apply for. You will need to sign up to an account with Speakers for Schools. Application links will be provided shortly.


  • Speak to your teacher - your school will have a named teacher (usually the careers lead) that you must name on the application form.


  • You must be in year 12 attending a Camden secondary school or college.


What happens after you apply


  • You and your teacher will receive an email from Speakers for Schools confirming the placement you have been accepted on.


  • If you no longer wish to take part (because you have found an alternative placement) please let us know at least 3 weeks before the placement begins - this means that another young person can take your place.


What to prepare


Dress codes: Each business will have its own dress code. You will receive an email before your placement outlining what you should wear and other things to prepare before you start your placement.


Code of conduct: Your teacher will go over behaviour expectations for the week. Needless to say, excellent behaviour and a willingness to learn and take part are mandatory aspects of your work experience placement.
