Walters & Cohen Architects Work Experience 2025 - open for entries

From Monday 04 - Friday 08 August we invite 16 students in Years 11-13 to take part in a mini design project.

You will get an insight into working as an architect and what to expect from studying architecture at university.

The week is designed to be a fun and engaging challenge, with the chance to meet new people with similar interests.

How it works

Monday

Visit our office, meet each other and your mentors. We’ll explain your project, tell you a bit about us, then head to King’s Cross for an architectural walking tour.

Tuesday - Thursday

Working from home, you’ll learn basic drawing skills as you develop your design. A typical day is:

10am - 12pm: design time, including a chat with your mentor (4 students per group) on Teams

12pm - 1pm: tune in online for lectures by our staff or guest speakers

1pm - 2pm: lunch break

2pm-5pm: design time

Students are also welcome to work in our office on Wednesday or Thursday (two groups each day).

Friday

In the afternoon, return to the office to present your designs to each other and us. Some students have told us that this was their favourite day of the week. Join us afterwards to mingle and celebrate - refreshments will be provided. The day will finish around 4.30pm.

If that sounds like your cup of tea, download the application form here.

The deadline for entries is 5pm on Monday 12 May.
