Sutton Trust Online is a digital programme providing support to students on their journey to university or an apprenticeship.

It has been designed utilising our 25 years of experience running programmes which support students into leading universities and apprenticeships.


Over 18 months, students will be guided through all the information, skills and advice they need as they explore their options, apply to, prepare for and succeed at university or an apprenticeship.

Eligibility

Eligibility

To apply to Sutton Trust Online, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Attend, and have always attended, a state-funded, non fee-paying school/college.

  • Be in Year 12 (England and Wales), Year 13 (Northern Ireland) or S5 (Scotland) when applying.

  • Have achieved at least four GCSEs at grades 9 – 6 (A*-B), including English and Maths.


In addition, students must also meet one of the following social mobility criteria:

  • Would be the first generation in their family to gain a degree/degree-level qualification.

  • Have been eligible for Free School Meals whilst at secondary school.

  • Have been looked after or in care.

  • Live in a neighbourhood with a low rate of progression to higher education or a high level of socio-economic deprivation AND Have attended schools with a lower than average progression to higher education, or a higher than average proportion of students who qualify for Free School Meals.
