The Heritage of London Trust are seeking a young photographer to produce 6-8 high quality photographs of our recent public art projects.
These will be displayed in an exhibition at our upcoming conference, Public Art and Aesthetics in the Public Realm, on the Friday 15th November in the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA).
What the opportunity includes:
An exhibition of your work at RIBA
A silent auction with 50% given to the photographer
All cost of print, framing and exhibition set up covered by us
Reimbursement of expenses
We are looking for unique and dramatic shots, featuring surprising angles, lighting and interactions with the site.
This project will be executed throughout August/ September to best prepare the exhibition in good time for the conference.
The final exhibition will include between 6 and 8 photos mounted on board presented in the exhibition hall, providing context and interest to the conference audience.
Photos should be of a high professional standard, attractive aesthetically, and demonstrate interest and appreciation of each individual site.
Photos can focus on one element of a site or include the whole site.
We’d like your photos to be dynamic, positive, intriguing and inspirational in some way.
Please include up to 100 words written about each photograph and document your experience of taking it. We’d like to hear about how you engaged with it and felt about it.
We will pay you up to £100 in total for expenses you incur this project to include travel to sites, on submission of receipts.
We will cover the costs of printing, mounting and curating the final photographs chosen by us for the exhibition.
The copyright of the images will remain yours and there will be a silent auction of the displayed photographs at the conference with 50% of profits to you, 50% to Heritage of London Trust.
Any unsold works will be returned to you.
You can apply to this fantastic opportunity by providing examples of your work and a CV, which can be emailed to abbie.ruse@heritageoflondon.org.
